Country Folk Art and other short subjects was conceived as an idea as we lay in bed one night in Febuary 1983. Incidentally, it was the only thing that a chance of being conceived in February 1983. By early March, most of the designs had been "born" and it was time to begin pickin' the colors and pokin' the cloth. Late one night she woke me up to ask "Hon, do you think I ought to use avocado green very dark over two on 14 count with a medium aquamarine backstitch or.." Needless to say, fellow husbands, my retort was not well received and I learned a valuable lesson - never smart mouth your wife when she has a very large needle in her hand." - Ed "Scoot" Hatden
